Our District

St Paul's Bay is situated in the North East of the island of Malta, 16km from the capital city Valletta. The localities of Burmarrad, Qawra, Bugibba, Xemxija, Mselliet, San Martin and part of Bidnija, Mistra and Ghajn Tuffieha form part of the San Pawl il-Bahar Local Council.

• San Pawl il-Baħar is the longest locality name in Malta and Gozo.

• In the locality there are more than 1000 registered businesses.

• 35% of the tourists that visit Malta are lodged in our locality.

• St Paul's Bay has the longest coast.

• In our locality reside more than 2272 alien residents that have the right to vote
   in the Local Council Election.

• The most populated street in the locality is St Paul's Street, with 372 
   residents eligible to vote.

• The Local Government Primary School hosts students from about thirty different nations, the highest in the European Union for the size of the locality.
