In the beginning of 2007, the residence of the locality of St Paul’s Bay was just over 15 000, being a holiday resort, the population goes up to 60 000 in the Summer season.
For these last two years the number of residents has been constantly rising between four hundred and five hundred yearly, resulting that St Paul’s Bay is the fourth largest village in the Maltese islands.
Various associations, clubs and societies have been formed, in order to help the locals for a better living. The societies vary from band clubs, youth organisations, sports and educational clubs, religious organisations and also fishing clubs.
The locality has three parishes, two of which celebrate their feast outside their parish churches. One is the Burmarrad Parish which celebrates its feast in the last weekend of June, and the other is the parish of St Paul’s Bay which celebrates its feast in the last weekend of July.
The main living of our residents depends on the catering and commercial sectors, having about one thousand commercial outlets in the area.
